Examines the history and theory behind fundamental ecological principles through readings and discussions of classic and recent literature

To increase awareness and access to the practice and policy of ecological restoration and to improve resilience and sustain biodiversity in a changing world as well as to foster an ecologically sustainable and responsible relationship between nature and culture

Students will come away with
a better understanding of the individual, population, community, and ecosystem
processes that shape patterns we see in nature.
